If you are a Minecraft fan and looking for the Fortune enchantment for your tools, then you have come to the right place. Fortune is an enchantment that increases the amount of resources dropped when mining. This enchantment can be applied to pickaxes, shovels, hoes, and axes. In this article we will explain how you can get the Fortune enchantment.
First and foremost, you need to acquire an Enchantment Table. This item can be crafted from four blocks of obsidian, two blocks of diamond and one book on a crafting table. Once you have acquired your Enchantment Table, stand near it and add some lapis lazuli in the enchantment slot – up to three pieces will do. You will now be able to see different enchantments right below the lapis lazuli.
One of these enchantments will be called 'Fortune'. At this point you may select this enchantment with either left or right-click of your mouse – ensure that your tool is in your hand while doing so. Now at this stage a book icon should appear on top - if it doesn't appear then there is not enough lapis lazuli in the slot for you to use that particular enchantment. If it does appear then select it to apply 'Fortune' onto your tool/weapon.
You need experience points (XP) for enchanting any item; use any mobs or mining activities to get them (you'll know when XP is generated because little green swirls appear over your head). Note that if your Experience Bar gets filled up before reaching the desired level for applying Fortune then spend some XP points by drinking milk or crafting items just to make some space for more XP points before applying Fortune onto your item again! Crafting bookshelves also give better results with more XP points earned with each craft than most other items – however they are also quite expensive so use accordingly!
